The staff is educated on the benefits of compounded alternatives and invites your questions and inquiries to develop preparations specific to your needs.. It is capable of filing most insurances including BCBS, Medco, Caremark, Tricare and most Medicare Part D plans. Our specialty at SportsMED pharmacy is multi-drug topically applied preparations. These topical pain creams concentrate medications and target the injury site which facilitates pain relief which facilitates activity. These topical preparations also decrease side effects that oral medications often cause, such as GI intolerance or liver toxicities due to the medications bypassing these systems. Topical pain creams are an effective pain relief for many sports related injuries without the inconvenience of taking multiple oral medications.
