Knee Surgery

The knee is the largest, strongest, and one of the most complex joints in the body. A healthy knee joint allows us to walk, run, squat, climb steps, and move without pain. However, damage or degeneration to any structure in the knee can cause pain, loss of mobility, and difficulty performing daily tasks.

Knee pain can affect people of all ages, and is one of the most common complaints bringing people to SportsMED. Most knee injuries can be treated conservatively with physical therapy, medication, proper bracing, or joint injections. But for those suffering from severe pain and stiffness, or experience crunching, locking, and popping when walking, surgery might be necessary. Whether your knee pain is the result of an acute injury, arthritis, or wear and tear from overuse, SportsMED can help.
