Dr. Clayton is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement, with emphasis on complex revisions of failed hip and knee replacements. Dr. Clayton also specializes in minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement. Dr. Clayton graduated cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in Biology/Psychology. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine followed by an orthopaedic residency at Mount Carmel Health Systems in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Clayton completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction surgery at Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Clayton is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He is clinical faculty for UAB School of Medicine at the Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. He is on the active staff at Crestwood Medical Center and the Surgery Center of Huntsville.
