We Do

Joint Replacement

At SportsMED, we understand the impact joint pain can have on your quality of life. Joints can be damaged by acute trauma, arthritis, repetitive stress, and other musculoskeletal diseases. A damaged joint can be extremely painful and very disrupting to your daily activities. Advancements in technology and surgical techniques, combined with highly skilled orthopedic specialists give patients better outcomes which lead to happier, pain free lives.

Joint replacement surgery is used to remove and replace an arthritic or damaged joint with an artificial joint. Surgery to replace a worn out joint can be performed on the knee, hip, shoulder, wrist, elbow, and ankle, with the knee and hip being the most commonly performed joint replacement procedures in orthopedic medicine today. Our joint replacement program is designed to see you through every phase of care, from pre-op education to your last inpatient therapy session. If you are suffering with debilitating and overbearing joint pain, SportsMED can help.

Some of the most common joint replacement procedures we perform include:

  • Hip Posterior approach replacement surgery (anterior, lateral, posterior approach)
  • Complex joint revision of the knee and hip
  • Knee replacement surgery
  • Partial knee replacement
  • Shoulder replacement surgery
  • Partial shoulder replacement
  • Reverse total shoulder replacement
