Joint Revision

Joint replacement is one of the most successful procedures in all of medicine. In fact, over 90% of patients regain significant function and reduced pain after joint replacement surgery. This allows patients with chronic knee or hip pain to live happier, pain free lives. However, over time replacement parts can fail or become damaged. When a knee or hip replacement no longer functions correctly, revision surgery may be needed.

As younger, more active patients outlive the lifespan of their joint implant, the need for a second joint replacement surgery is increasing.
