MCL Tears

(Medial Collateral Ligament Tears)

MCL tears are often associated with other injuries and many times torn when the ACL is torn. Symptoms of MCL tears depend on severity.  The most common symptoms of an MCL tear are knee pain, tenderness when pressing on the inside of the knee, and/or limited range of motion of the knee. Treatment of an MCL tear involves restoring mobility and strength to the knee so the patient can return to sports or daily activities.
