Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry)

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians, also known as physiatrists, specialize in treating a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, joints, muscles, and more. Our Physiatrist use physical agents and therapeutic exercises in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders that produce pain, impairment, and disability. Their goal is to identify the true source of your pain and develop the most effect treatment plan to restore your quality of life.

Our Physiatrists focus their skills on providing non-surgical solutions for conditions affecting the neck, back, hip, knee, and shoulder, with an emphasis on eliminating pain and restoring function. Additionally, our Physiatrist specialize in treatment and diagnostic procedures such as joint injections, EMGs (electromyography), and NCS (nerve conduction studies) to help patients develop customize treatment plans based on their individual needs. Surgery is not the only option to find relief from pain, weakness, numbness, or loss of function. SportsMED can help.
